Aspen of DC Wins Records Management Contract with FEMA

Aspen of DC, Inc., a high-quality project management, human resources and professional services company, has announced that they have been awarded a $6.3 million contract with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) supporting the National Records Management Program (NRMP).

FEMA's mission is to support the country's citizens and first responders to ensure that the nation works together to build, sustain, and improve its capability to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from, and mitigate all hazards. The Mission Support Bureau (MSB), Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (OCAO), Records Management Division (RMD) administers the Agency's statutory programs, administrative support programs, and enterprise systems in support of the FEMA mission.  Aspen of DC will assist RMD with these programs by providing business management support, project coordination, records management services, technical writing, and FOIA program administration.

Aspen of DC Awarded NRC Mailroom Support Contract

Aspen of DC, Inc., announced that the company was awarded a  $2.5 million contract to support the mailroom operations for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC) complex of buildings in Rockville and Bethesda, MD.  The company's onsite team of eight Mail Personnel employees will provide high-quality mail support services, including X-Ray scanning, mail sorting, mail stop identification, delivery and pick-up of regular mail, tracking of accountable mail, and local courier services.

Aspen of DC President Brandy Butler is one of 25 women who have won the 2011 Brava! Women Business Achievement Award from SmartCEO magazine. 

The Brava! Women Business Achievement Awards celebrate women business leaders who combine their irrepressible entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for giving back to the community. 

"It is an honor to be selected for this award and to be in the company of extraordinary businesswomen using their talents and resources to facilitate positive changes in the wider community," said Aspen of DC President Brandy Butler.

As a whole, the 2011 Washington Brava! CEOs are running companies that generate $1.5 billion in collective revenue and are managing more than 4,700 employees in the Greater Washington area.  Ms. Butler will receive her award in a ceremony at the National Museum for Women in the Arts on July 27, 2011.
